Finding a concentrated area for trick-or-treating in Denver requires specific location knowledge, as decorated homes are often scattered across the city. While some districts offer a sporadic selection of houses, other blocks feature dense clusters of residents prepared for the holiday. Denver staff and online forums identified five specific locations where families can expect high participation.

The Central Park area in northeast Denver draws the most attention. Residents described the event as an all-hands-on-deck community gathering. Neighbors reported receiving anywhere from fifty to thousands of trick-or-treaters. The activity typically begins around 5 p.m. and concludes by 9 p.m.

Washington Park, situated in one of the city's wealthiest zip codes, hosts its annual Trick-or-Treat Street on South Gaylord Street. This event is scheduled for 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Halloween. The area has a median household income of $118,759.

Other recommended spots include the Park Hill neighborhoods, which feature walkable streets lined with spooky decorations. Oneida Street between Sixth and Eighth avenues also closes to traffic for the day. The Berkeley neighborhood near Tennyson Street is known for elaborate displays.

Westword compiled these recommendations based on staff input and internet research. The publication noted that many free costume events will occur across the city this week. Readers can email editorial@westword.com to suggest additional locations.
