A 3-year-old star player was at the center of a dispute that led to police being called to a soccer match. A viral video shows police responding to a youth soccer game near Orlando, Florida, where the child was playing against older kids. The league's director said the police were called because the parents were being disruptive, not because of the child's skill. The 3-year-old, Nevada, was seen dominating on the pitch in several videos. Thomas Hayes, a director of the youth league, told the police the kid was very good and that he was scoring a lot of goals while pushing the kids. Hayes said he had told the kids not to push while they were playing and that there had been another incident with Nevada's parents a few weeks earlier when he swapped some of the players out, including Nevada. The parents took issue with Hayes telling the refs not to let their son push the other kids, claiming they created a big scene, arguing with other parents. Nevada's mom said they always stood on the opposite side of the field as the other parents to avoid causing any disruption. She said in the bodycam video that she saw the other parents huddle in a circle talking about him during the game. She said in an interview with media personality Lauren Lorosa that her son was already dressed and that she could not explain to him that he could not play that day because he was so good. Hayes said he wanted the family to leave and was willing to offer them a refund. Online, there has been an avalanche of support for Nevada and his family, including from media personality Lauren Lorosa. Not everybody has been supportive, with one coach writing that the parents should be ashamed of themselves.
