The familiar red Coca-Cola Christmas truck is heading to Grapevine this holiday season, bringing photo opportunities, free activities and a chance to meet the brand's well-known Polar Bear.
The Coca-Cola Holiday Caravan will stop at Gaylord Texan Resort from Dec. 6 to 9. The visit is part of a new partnership between The Coca-Cola Company, Gaylord Hotels and select JW Marriott resorts. The collaboration will bring seasonal Coca-Cola experiences to eight resorts across the country, including appearances by the traveling caravan and specially themed Christmas suites.
For visitors planning a holiday outing, the Grapevine stop adds another reason to head to the resort, where the annual Christmas celebration is already underway by that point.
During the four-day stop, the caravan will offer free interactive activities, product samples, holiday giveaways and photo opportunities with the Coca-Cola Polar Bear. The red truck has become a recognizable part of the company's holiday advertising and seasonal celebrations, having traveled across North America for decades. After appearing at participating resorts around the country, the caravan will continue its holiday tour.
The visit comes during one of the busiest stretches of the year for Gaylord Texan. The resort's Christmas celebration begins Nov. 13, and its signature ice! attraction will take guests into the wizarding world of Harry Potter for the first time.
More than 2 million pounds of ice will be carved into scenes from the film series across 10 themed rooms. Settings include Hogsmeade Station, the Forbidden Forest, The Three Broomsticks, the Great Hall and Hogwarts Castle. The experience opens with a towering sculpture of Hedwig. Inside Hogwarts Castle, visitors can ride six two-story ice slides before arriving at a Quidditch Pitch celebration featuring the four Hogwarts houses.
The attraction is kept at a chilly 9 degrees, and guests are given blue parkas to wear throughout. Visitors can also watch live demonstrations by the artisans who carve the ice sculptures.
The Harry Potter-themed ice! attraction runs through Jan. 3, 2027. Guests can also take in the resort's extensive holiday decorations and seasonal activities as part of its annual Christmas celebration.
